The working principle of the capacitive pen composed of a coil is that the capacitive touch screen works by using the current induction of the human body. It is a four layer composite glass screen, with the inner surface and laminated layer coated with a layer of conductive glass, and the outermost layer is a thin protective layer of quartz glass. The ITO coating serves as the working surface, with four electrodes leading out from four corners, and the internal ITO acts as a shield to ensure a good working environment.
When the finger contacts the metal layer, a coupling capacitor is formed between the user and the touch screen surface due to the human electric field. For high-frequency currents, the capacitor is a direct conductor, so the finger draws a small current from the contact point.
The current flows out from the electrodes on the four corners of the touch screen, and the current flowing through these four electrodes is proportional to the distance from the finger to the four corners. The controller obtains the position information of the touch point by accurately calculating the ratio of these four currents. A capacitive pen is an auxiliary device that uses conductive materials to mimic the human body (usually fingers) to complete human-machine dialogue.
